I can`t help but think it`s ridiculously stupid to think she would leave her friends just because of her princesshood! Whetever the show has always been for selling toys or not, even Hasbro can`t take Friendship away from Friendship is Magic! And there`s not only Hasbro screwing around and making dumb decisions, but a wonderful group of writers trying to fix that shit up, which you`ve clearly forgotten!
I`m sorry. I`m not in too good mood right now, but seriously; Trust the writers. After all those wonderful Season they`ve gave us, I`m sure they`re done more than enough to deserve our trust for Season 4, no matter how screwed up it might seem at first.

I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS! she is soooo not leaving her friends nor becoming a princess. im pretty sure shes going to be voiced by a weirdo women. maybe shell say "i dont want to be alone,i want to be with my friends" but of course shell never say that -.-
"im pretty sure shes going to be voiced by a weirdo women" >Implying she isn`t being voiced by a weird woman already
The day when Friendship will be forgotten from the official series of My Little Pony is the day when Generation 4 ends and Generation 5 starts! She is a princess now, yes, but she defenitely won`t leave her friends! As I said to already; we don`t only have Hasbro screwing around and making a dumb decisions, but a wonderful group of writers trying to fix that shit up! So even if you thought that Hasbro would leave the Friendship out of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (which is a ridiculous thought as it`s impossible), you should at least trust the writers. Besides, Hasbro wanted Alicorn Princess Twilight and that`s exactly what they got! They have absolutely no reason at all to limit of how writers can use that character, so if, despite all this big fuss that somebronies have made of this, claiming how Season 4 is doomed to be bad, the writers tries to keep the show quality high and let Twilight to hang out with her friends, then that`s exaclty what`s going to happen!
It`s not like Twilight`s princesshood gives them only bad possibilities, it`s actually rather the opposite. And if you don`t like some possible changes, like Twilight moving to the Canterlot, don`t worry, it doesn`t have to happen even though it would make sense as she is a princess now. Or actually, making sense might be the exact reason why it won`t happen, because...well, let`s just say making sense hasn`t exactly been the most important goal for the writers of the show. I mean, seriously. I know that no show is perfect, but there`s just a ridiculous number of things on MLP FIM that doesn`t make sense. Luckily, it doesn`t matter enough to ruin the show. At lest not for me.
I`m sorry for the negative tone of the first part of the message. I wasn`t in a good mood while writing it. I`m not sure, I haven`t give it a good thought, that how you`re going to reply to this message of mine, but if you tell me that people have right to their opinions, I`d like to tell my opinions about opinions; In cases like this when opinions are not only about personal taste, but logical thinking and expectations, there can be something wrong with it. But if even after reading my comment and giving it a good thought you fail to see things as I see, I guess I can`t say your opinion is a stupid. That would just mean that you still find it more likely Season 4 to suck than being a good. Or rather, the fact that Twilight was turned into alicorn is bad, whetever the Season 4 will be good or not. Well, the latter might be, at least somewhat, true, but as Season 4 has hope to be a good Season, it really isn`t that big deal.
Or at least that`s what I think. If you think it`s a big deal, then fine, but just please try to give Season 4 a change, will ya?
Lauren Faust actually commented that she planned to have Twilight eventually succeed Princess Celestia, so if her ideas are generally accepted by the majority of the fans, then this business of her becoming a Princess should be acceptable.

thing is i know they what it more "entertaining" but its not for me. this dude said she's probably gonna learn about leader ship.BUUUT wheres the time with her friends in that comment?im not changing into liking alicorn twilight. thanks M.A loursen you ruined mlp
You people have it all wrong, becoming a Princess does not mean Twilight herself will now have a kingdom and rule over it and thus be taken away from her friends. In her case it is a title of honor at what she has accomplished, she has done things no ordinary unicorn has done, she has put herself on the line to save her friends numerous times, she has shown to value the bonds she has created with the people she cares for above all else, she has achieved a great deal of good for all of equestria and thus for it she has shown the qualities of a true princess, and thus has been rewarded and transformed into a Alicorn, however that is all. There is no new level of power for her outside of what she was already capable of if given sufficient time and preparation.
Why are people so afraid of this new evolution of her character? Sailor Moon did, that girl from the Winkx club did it, in fact in most shows like this there is always one girl who changes but it never alienates her from her friends or makes her different personality wise.
I don't think that's the point of her transformation. She isn't inherently more powerful than either of her friends. Rainbow Dash is still the fastest, Pinkie Pie is still the funniest, Fluttershy is still the best one at tending to animals and keeping quite, Rarity is still the fashion forward designer shes always been, and Applejack still knows more about farming and hardwork than Twilight does.
The only thing this has done is give her wings, she isn't goddess pony 4.0, she doesn't control the stars in the sky, she isn't anymore powerful than she was before hand. She is however the one pony who symbolizes magic on her backside, something that should have clued us all in on her destiny the moment we heard the element of magic was a element of harmony.
You aren't a pony either...nor do you fight evil monsters...and you were never a unicorn either to the best of my knowledge. Just because she has changed into a princess does not make her more dissimilar then she was initially to human fans. I mean you can as closely relate to a unicorn or as you can to an alicorn princess. Rainbow Dash's occupation is a to burst clouds...does that make her unidentifiable since you will never become a cloud buster? I mean seriously other brony people grow up. Stop whining you can't relate to her anymore if you step back you never could. She has the same personality, which is the only part of any of the characters you could relate to. Its pathetic people's aversion to change.
